Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has won the Worli seat by a margin of over 8800 against Shiv Sena's Milind Deora. Aaditya received 63,324 against Milind, who polled 54,523 votes as counting concluded for the high stakes constituency in Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024.
The Worli Assembly seat in south Mumbai remained the centre of attention as it was a battle between well-known candidates from the two factions of Shiv Sena—one led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and another led by former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Aaditya, son of Uddhav, was a sitting MLA and sought re-election, this time on a Shiv Sena (UBT) ticket. In 2019, he was elected to the seat from the undivided Shiv Sena.
