Beed: With voting concluding for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024, Maharashtra minister Dhananjay Munde, a senior NCP leader has comprehensively won from Parli seat by a whopping margin of over 1.40 lakh votes.
As per the ECI's latest real-time data, Munde secured 194889 votes against his nearest rival Rajasaheb Deshmukh of the NCP (SP) who secured 54665 votes after the conclusion of all the 26 rounds thereby giving Munde a winning lead of 1,40,224 votes.
Parli Assembly seat in the Beed district of Maharashtra was a key seat to watch out for as Dhananjay Munde, a senior NCP leader, was seeking a re-election from the seat.
Munde is the nephew of former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Union Minister late Gopinath Munde, who was a BJP stalwart and had considerable hold over the tribal community and particularly the Marathwada region.
Dhananjay after Ajit Pawar deserted his uncle Sharad Pawar and decided to go with the NCP.
