ఈ మధ్య జరిగిన ఆస్ట్రేలియా, పాకిస్థాన్ సిరీస్ల్లో పరుగుల వరద పారించిన మలన్.. టీ20 బ్యాట్స్మన్ ర్యాంకింగ్స్ నాలుగు స్థానాలు ఎగబాకి అగ్రస్థానానికి చేరుకున్నాడు. ఒకవేళ ఐపీఎల్కు ఇతడు ఎంపికైతే అదే ఊపు, టోర్నీలో కొనసాగించే అవకాశముంది. రైనాలాగే ఎడమ చేతివాటం బ్యాట్స్మన్ కావడం, మూడో స్థానంలో ఆడటం ఇతడికి కలిసొచ్చే అంశాలు.
33 ఏళ్ల మలన్.. ఇంగ్లాండ్ తరఫున ఇప్పటివరకు 16 టీ20లు ఆడి, 682 పరుగులు చేశాడు. ఇందులో ఓ సెంచరీ, 7 హాఫ్ సెంచరీలు ఉన్నాయి.
ఐపీఎల్ సెప్టెంబరు 19 నుంచి నవంబరు 10 వరకు యూఏఈ వేదికగా జరగనుంది. దుబాయ్, షార్జా, అబుదాబీ దీనికి వేదికలు.
