పుల్వామా ఉగ్రదాడిలో అమరులైన జవాన్ల కుటుంబాలకు సాయం చేసేందుకు దిల్లీలో మారథాన్ నిర్వహించారు. వేలాది మంది పాల్గొన్న ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని మాస్టర్ బ్లాస్టర్ సచిన్ తెందూల్కర్ ప్రారంభించారు. పుషప్స్ చేశారు.

దిల్లీలో జరిగిన మారథాన్ను క్రికెట్ దిగ్గజం సచిన్ తెందూల్కర్ ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ మారథాన్లో వేలాది మంది పాల్గొన్నారు. సచిన్ సైతం పరుగెత్తారు. పుషప్స్ చేశారు.
పుల్వామా ఉగ్రదాడిలో అమరులైన జవాన్ల కుటుంబాలకు సాయం చేసేందుకు ఐడీబీఐ ఫెడరల్ లైఫ్ ఇన్సూరెన్స్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఈ మారథాన్ను నిర్వహించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమం ద్వారా రూ.15 లక్షలు పొగుచేశారు.

ఆరోగ్య పరిరక్షణ కోసం #కీప్ మూవింగ్ పుష్ అప్ ఛాలెంజ్లో భాగంగా రన్నర్స్తో పాటు సచిన్ పది పుష్ అప్స్ తీశాడు.

"ఇక్కడ జమచేసిన మొత్తం ఒక మంచి పని కోసం ఉపయోగిస్తున్నాం. డబ్బును వీరజవాన్ల కుటుంబాలకు అందజేస్తాం. పిల్లలు చాలా మంది పాల్గొనడం ఆనందాన్ని కలిగించింది. భావి తరాలకు వారసులు వీరే. అందరూ క్రీడల్లో పాల్గొంటూ దేశాన్ని ఆరోగ్యంగా ఉంచాలి"--సచిన్ తెందూల్కర్

ఫుల్ మారథాన్(42.195 కి.మీ), హాఫ్ మారథాన్(21.095 కి.మీ), 10కె రన్, 5కె స్వచ్ఛభారత్ రన్..ఇలా మొత్తం నాలుగు రకాలు పోటీలు జరిగాయి.

The general election in Nigeria has entered its vote counting stage as millions of Nigerians went to the polls on Saturday to cast their ballots to elect a president and members of the National Assembly. Despite the vote being moved from its scheduled Feb 16 date, some delays were reported at various polling stations across the country.
The two leading contenders in the presidential race, incumbent Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, both cast their ballots early in the morning
The voting was scheduled to be held between 08:00 and 14:00, but was hampered by delays in a number of polling stations.
At a polling station in Lagos, voting was put off by three hours after officials discovered they ran out of indelible ink.
"We've been here since about 06:00 a.m., and still nothing has started. No accreditation has started. They said there's no ink," said a voter.
"Ink! Are you telling me you are going to school with books and your pen is not with you? Ink to thumb print is not here," said another voter.
Finally at about 11:00, ink was delivered and the voting began. However, as the voting was nearly over, not everybody could vote in time.
In other places, card reader failures also forced officials to verify voters identities manually, while in other cases electoral supplies were sent late.
But at a polling station in Victoria Island in Lagos, officials said despite a few challenges, the process had been smooth.
"It's very, very good and many people is responding," Mariam Olashukwo, an official with Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In some cases, voters turned up at the wrong polling station.
"There were a number of people that did not know their polling stations, and their polling units. It would do if this is publicized even more before the exercise," said a voter.
Initial fears of voter apathy appear to have been allayed with huge voter lines witnessed across the country.
Focus now has shifted to Abuja and the declaration of results by the INEC.
