సైనిక బలంపై దృష్టి సారించిన భారత్

పుల్వామా దాడి తరువాత పొరుగుదేశం పాకిస్థాన్కు ఏ విధంగా సమాధానం ఇవ్వాలో భారత్ అన్వేషణ ప్రారంభించింది. దేశ సైనిక బలం, ఆయుధ సామగ్రి వంటి వాటిపై దృష్టి సారించింది. ఒక దేశం పరాక్రమానికి దోహదం చేయడంలో కీలకమైనదిగా భావించే కొన్ని అంశాలను పరిశీలిద్దాం.

సైనిక బలంలో ఎవరెక్కడ?

సైనిక బలం, ఆయుధాలు, యుద్ధ విమానాలు వంటి అంశాల్లో అమెరికాదే మొదటి స్థానం. ఆయుధాలపై పరిశోధన, సాంకేతికత వినియోగంలోనూ అగ్రరాజ్యానిదే అగ్రస్థానం. కానీ సైనికుల బలంలో మాత్రం చైనాది మొదటి స్థానం. మిగిలిన అంశాలను లెక్కలోకి తీసుకుంటే మాత్రం డ్రాగన్ దేశం రెండో స్థానానికి పరిమితమైంది. ఎంత మంది సైనికులు ఉన్నారనేదీ నిర్ణయాత్మక అంశంగా ఉంటుంది.

అంతర్జాతీయంగా అమెరికా అగ్రస్థానంలో ఉంటే తరువాతి స్థానంలో రష్యా, చైనాలు ఉన్నాయి. భారత్ది నాలుగో స్థానం. పాకిస్థాన్ 17వ స్థానంలో ఉంది. ఇజ్రాయెల్ కన్నా దిగువన ఉంది.

భారత్, పాకిస్థాన్ అణ్వాయుధాలు కలిగిన దేశాలు. పాకిస్థాన్ ఎప్పటికప్పుడు అణ్వాయుధాల విషయంలో నాటకీయంగా వ్యవహరిస్తోంది. అణ్వాయుధాలను వినియోగించాల్సిన అవసరం ఇప్పటివరకు భారత్కు రాలేదు. అది ప్రస్తుత పరిణామాల ప్రభావంతో తీసుకునే నిర్ణయంపై ఆధారపడి ఉంటుంది.

After the Pulwama attack, India has been looking at its military options on how to give a befitting reply to Pakistan. India's millitary strength has been ranked by looking into various factors.Some of the factors considered to be crucial in contributing to the millitary prowess of a country.

Factors that determine military power

-The variety of weapons acquired by the country

-Defence budget

-Nuclear weapons and its delivery platforms

-Political leadership and chain of command

The United states stands to be the world's topmost military power if all the factors are considered. The U.S also leads in weapon's research and ability in waging a smart war with an array of information technologies fine tuned for millitary applications. However, China stands first when it comes to the number of personnel at its disposal for military duties. The number of boots on the ground to hold territorry or defend also becomes a decisive factor

India according to global fire power Index has been ranked 4th with U.S being first, Russia second and China third.Pakistan figures in the ranking as 17^th just below Israel.

Atomic weapons have altered the balance between conventional superiority and nuclear parity and therefore if it is used ,it could blunt the conventional superiority of forces on the ground. India and Pakistan are nuclear armed nations with Pakistan constantly using its rant on nuclear wepaons against any possible action by India. India meanwhile has no-first use policy and is reliant on its cold start doctrine against Pakistan.
