ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: ബിജെപി സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്ന ദേശീയ ജനസംഖ്യ രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ 2010ല്‍ നിന്നും വ്യത്യസ്തവും അപകടകരവുമെന്ന് കോൺഗ്രസ്‌ നേതാവ്‌ പി ചിദംബരം. ദേശീയ ജനസംഖ്യ രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ നടപ്പാക്കുന്നതില്‍ ബിജെപി സര്‍ക്കാരിന് നിഗൂഢമായ അജണ്ടയുണ്ടെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. ബിജെപി സര്‍ക്കാരിന്‍റേത്‌ ശരിയായ ഉദ്ദേശമായിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ ദേശീയ ജനസംഖ്യ രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പിന്തുണക്കുമായിരുന്നുവെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.

2010ല്‍ ദേശീയ ജനസംഖ്യ രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതിന്‍റെ ദൃശ്യങ്ങൾ ബിജെപി പുറത്തുവിട്ടത്തില്‍ സന്തോഷമുണ്ടെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ട്വിറ്ററില്‍ കുറിച്ചു. ദൃശ്യങ്ങളില്‍ രാജ്യത്തെ താമസക്കാരെക്കുറിച്ചാണ്‌ വ്യക്തമാക്കിയതെന്നും പൗരത്വത്തിനല്ല പ്രാധാന്യം നല്‍കിയതെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു. പൗരത്വ നിയമത്തിനെതിരെ പ്രതിഷേധം നടത്തിയവരില്‍ ചെന്നൈയില്‍ നിന്നും 8000 പേര്‍ക്കെതിരെ കേസെടുത്തതായും അദ്ദേഹം ആരോപിച്ചു.
