डबलिन : अपनी मां का सपना साकार करने वाले युवा बल्लेबाज रिंकू सिंह ने कहा कि कठिन परिस्थितियों में जीने और अपने माता पिता को अच्छी जिंदगी देने की अदम्य इच्छा ने उनके लिए भारतीय टीम में जगह बनाने का मार्ग प्रशस्त किया.

रिंकू ने इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग में शानदार प्रदर्शन किया जिसके कारण वह आयरलैंड के खिलाफ टी20 श्रृंखला के लिए भारतीय टीम में जगह बनाने में सफल रहे. रिंकू ने जिओ सिनेमा से कहा, 'भारतीय टीम में शामिल होने के लिए मैंने काफी पसीना बहाया. खेल के प्रति मेरे जुनून से मुझे समर्थन की कमी और वित्तीय परेशानियों से निपटने में मदद मिली'.

रिंकू को वेस्टइंडीज के खिलाफ श्रृंखला के लिए नहीं चुना गया लेकिन आयरलैंड के खिलाफ श्रृंखला शुरू होने से पहले ही उनका सपना साकार हो गया. बारिश से प्रभावित पहले मैच में हालांकि उन्हें बल्लेबाजी करने का मौका नहीं मिला.
रिंकू से पूछा गया कि भारतीय टीम में शामिल किए जाने पर उनके परिवार की क्या प्रतिक्रिया थी, उन्होंने कहा, 'वे बहुत खुश थे. मेरी मां हमेशा मुझसे कहती रहती थी कि अगर मुझे भारतीय टीम में जगह बनानी है तो कड़ी से कड़ी मेहनत करनी होगी और अब मैंने भारतीय टीम में जगह बना ली है, इसलिए मैं उनका सपना जी रहा हूं'.
