Dehradun’s historic Shri Jhandeji’s fair has begun on Friday morning. On this occasion, a limited number of people from different states-- Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana came to witness the ascension of Shri Jhandeji. In the presence of Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj of Darbar Sahib, Shri Jhandeji was bathed with curd, ghee, Gangajal and Panchamrit. In view of the spike Coronavirus cases, devotees have followed the guidelines. This year's flag was 86 feet high and on the eve of the fair, devotees took blessings of Jhande Ji. Jhanda fair or Jhande ka Mela is one of the largest fairs in Northen India which attract thousands of devotees and tourists who travel to Dehradun to seek blessings from the almighty.
