Telangana priest solemnizes marriage on video call

A Hindu priest solemnized a marriage through video call at Somla Thanda village in Telangana's Medak district on Wednesday, setting a unique example amid the spread of coronavirus among the people. The priest refused to attend the marriage function physically on the possibility of contracting the virus at the wedding ceremony and performed the rituals through a video call. Pathloth Mohan, the groom tied the knot with Manjula, with blessings from their parents and the priest who chanted the sacred verses on a video call. A very restricted number of family members attended the ceremony.
