Tamil Nadu/Andhra Pradesh: In a bid to prevent interstate public movement amid coronavirus outbreak, Tamil Nadu police sealed all its interstate borders with Andhra Pradesh across Chitoor district by raising walls. The walls have been built to a height of up to three-feet at key entry and exit points of the interstate border areas including Palamaneru, Gudiyattam, and Shettidangal. The move is being objected by the district as well as Mandal officials as it would cause immense inconvenience to the locals residing in these areas.
