Shocking footage shows miscreants hurling burning tyre on elephant

Masinagudi (Tamil Nadu): A 40-year-old elephant which was shifted to Tamil Nadu’s Theppakadu elephant camp for treatment, has succumbed to injuries. The elephant was spotted with wounds on the back and ears. An autopsy on the elephant revealed that the pachyderm suffered severe injuries about two months ago. Shocking footage shows miscreants hurling a burning object, suspected to be an old tyre, on the wild elephant after it strayed into human habitat in Masinagudi in Nilgiris district. The forest department has arrested some people from Masinagudi village and is investigating this incident.
