Preparations in full swing to start Amarnath Yatra amid coronavirus threat

The annual Amarnath Yatra, curtailed because of the coronavirus pandemic, will start soon. Though the government has not officially announced the date for the yatra, but preparations suggest that it will start soon. As per sources, the pilgrimage to the 3,880-metre-high holy cave shrine of Amarnath in the south Kashmir Himalayas will now be from the shorter Baltal route.
