Kin carries dead COVID-19 patient on stretcher after hospital denies ambulance

The family members of a person who died of Covid-19 were compelled to carry the corpse on a stretcher after the Mekhahara hospital — one of the largest government hospitals in Raipur — reportedly denied sending an ambulance. The kin of the victim claimed that they carried the victim's body on a stretcher to Shastri Chowk and then took it to the crematorium for last rites. However, the hospital authorities sent the ambulance later.
