Karnataka: Man electrocuted to death after coming in contact with high tension wire

A man who climbed an electric pole at Raichur railway station was electrocuted after he touched a high-tension wire on Monday. The incident took place in the evening, when the man, who happened to be mentally unsound, climbed on the pole and refused to climb down even after constant requests from people. Meanwhile, a sudden contact with a high tension wire electrocuted him, setting his body on fire and thus, killing him. His body was later brought down by railway officials but his identity could not be ascertained.
