Haryana groom drives tractor to wedding, shows solidarity with farmers

As the farmer protests against the farm laws have entered into its 9th day and talks with the central government have failed to end the standoff, a youth from Haryana's Karnal district drove to his wedding venue on a tractor in order to support the farmers of his state. Sumit Dhull, the groom a resident of Sector 6 in the city, left the decorated Mercedes behind at home and rode a tractor to his wedding venue. "I belong to a farmer family and I stand by the farmers who are protesting against the Acts. So I’ve chosen a tractor instead of a Mercedes," said Dhull. "We might be moving to the city but our roots are farming. Farmers should be our priority. We want to send the message that farmers have public support," he said. Meanwhile, people across the country have lent their support to the agitating farmers and standing in solidarity with them.
