Srinagar: Migrant vendors in Kashmir Valley see it as a haven due to the warmth of locals whereas the people from across the country are concerned about the safety of their near and dear ones, including the local people, due to the rise in killings in the recent past.
People from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and other states, have been doing business in the valley for decades by selling pakoras, tea, biryani and other items without any fear as there is no alternative for them. They have to work for their survival.
