Army troops help pregnant woman reach hospital amid heavy snowfall
Heavy snow in Kashmir brings unprecedented challenges for citizens, especially in higher reaches. Meanwhile, Army jawans carried a pregnant woman on a stretcher for 3.5 kilometres in knee-deep snow to a hospital at Duniwar from her home in Pazalpora. Locals also helped the troops and the woman gave birth to a baby boy at the hospital. It had been snowing for nearly 24 hours continuously when Army personnel were called for help.
