As the people from the Gurjar community blocked several travel ways and remained adamant over their demand for MBC reservation, on Sunday Gurjar leader Himmat Singh Paldi said that agitators' backlog demand is completely unconstitutional. Speaking to ETV Bharat, Paladi said, "The provision of the backlog is only for SC and ST, there is no provision of backlog for OBC nor is there any provision in the Bill. In such a situation, when there is no provision of backlog for OBC and MBC in the bill itself, how will it get its benefit?" "We had reserve posts under MBC quota, but these people (Bainsla fraction) also forgot the reserve posts by speaking backlog-backlog. But in our 14 demands, we have approved the demand for these reserve posts from the government," he said. "Even after these 14 demands, Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla has any personal demand, so he should go and talk to the government. We have no objection to this. Bainsla was talking about fulfilling his 6 demands, but we have got 14 demands fulfilled. But now even if he will try to fulfil 21 demands, we have no problem." Meanwhile, there are reports that the Gurjar community has been divided into two factions, one faction of the Gurjar Reservation Committee led by Himmat Singh Paldi is continuing on the 14 points demand. While the other faction led by Gurjar leader Vijay Bainsla is continuing with the protests.
