'Vocal for local' appeal effect: Forest department makes leaf plates in Sahibganj

The economy of the entire country has been disturbed due to the lockdown imposed to contain the spread of the Coronavirus, but the business of Sakhua Pattal in Jharkhand's Sahibganj is flourishing. After PM Modi appealed to the people of the country to make the local products go global, Sahibganj Forest Division has started rushing for the same. Sakhua trees and bamboo are found in large quantities in the hilly areas of Sahibganj. The Sakhua leaves are used to make leaf plates.
