Uttarakhand tragedy due to newly fallen snow: Rawat

Addressing media, Uttrakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said the incident that occurred in the state was due to breaking a part of a mountain formed with newly fallen snow, not because of the breaking of a glacier. He added that he has requested scientists to measure the speed of flowing water. He also said, he is discussing with the scientists for an early alarm system to reduce the damage in the feature.
