Leopard spotted in AP's Chittoor; creates panic

Authorities on Thursday sounded alert in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district after a leopard was spotted on the Thirumala Kanuma road on Wednesday night, creating panic in the area. Eyewitnesses said they saw a leopard crossing the road at the second Kanuma road near Harani, after which it hid in a canal. On hearing the movement of people, the leopard ran into the forest area. Meanwhile, security personnel are seen alerting people who are travelling on the Kanuma road.
