12 people among Bonda tribe test Covid positive

Malkangiri: At least 12 people from Bonda tribe in Odisha's Malkangiri district have tested Covid positive. One of the vulnerable tribal groups in India, the Bonda tribe had remained untouched during the first wave. Their poor immunity due to lack of nourishment has put officials in worry. The administration has initiated a door-to-door survey in villages to contain the spread of the virus. People who have been in close contact with the positive people have been quarantined and are under observation.
