Cine actors' body demands financial support amid Covid-19 surge

Amid the second wave of the Covid-19 cases across the country, the people working in the re-emerging film industry are facing a major crisis. The workers of the All Indian Cine Workers Association have demanded that 20 lakh workers in Maharashtra who are involved in filmmaking should also get financial help. Suresh Gupta, president of the All India Cine Workers' Association, has demanded that every actor should get at least Rs 10,000 as the shooting is stopped for ten days a month. According to Suresh, Covid's greatest influence was on Marathi and Hindi films. There are almost 20 lakh, unorganized workers, in the state connected with the film industry which includes spot boys and technicians and they are really facing a financial crisis.
