WATCH: Crews battle brush fire north of Los Angeles

Crews were on the scene of new brush fire Thursday afternoon burning in Santa Clarita, California about 30 miles north of Los Angeles. The blaze grew to about 150 acres but firefighters said they had stopped the forward movement of flames, according to a media report. The video showed aircraft dropping flame retardant and water on areas of the fire. Three air tankers with five helicopters were assisting with the attack, according to Angeles National Forest. Evacuations were underway and road closures were also in effect in the area.
