Srinagar-Rudraprayag NH blocked due to landslide

Several highways in Uttarakhand have reportedly been blocked due to landslides as heavy rain batters the hill state. The Srinagar-Rudraprayag National Highway has been blocked due to a landslide. Due to the closure of the road, vehicles have been diverted from Khirsu side. Many vehicles are stranded due to the closure of the road. BL Mishra, executive engineer of the Public Works Department said, "The boulders had started falling since morning so we had to deploy police. The road is likely to be reopened." Landslides have been happening continuously for the last two to four days on the Badrinath Highway. Due to which people are facing problems. There was a massive landslide on Rishikesh-Badrinath Highway 58 on Thursday.
