Kutch (Gujarat): Days after the Gujarat government claimed to have brought the massive invasion of locusts in the northern part of the state under control, yet another swarm of hoppers on Friday attacked Kutch which falls in the western region of the state. In the month of December, 2019, the locusts, known as tiddis locally, had wreaked havoc on standing crops of castor, cumin, jatropha, cotton, and potato, and fodder grass in around 20 talukas.
