TMC disobeys dignity of democracy & Parliament: Prahlad Patel

Talking about the suspension of TMC MP Santanu Sen from the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister Prahlad Patel, in an exclusive conversation with ETV Bharat, said that the Upper House has its own tradition and dignity. He said that the Parliamentary traditions not only run on rules and regulations but also on modesty of members. "This incident was something unusual as Sen came back even after the Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu suspended him. It is yet another new problem which might be taken care of by the discipline committee," he added. Patel further stressed that the Parliamentary discipline says that if Chairman has taken any decision then it will not be disregarded. "I think the TMC has developed a character of disobeying the dignity of democracy and the Parliament," he claimed.
