Puri's Jagannath temple reopens for devotees

After a gap of four months, the authorities have reopened the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha for devotees on Monday. Around 50,000 devotees of the Puri municipality area have visited the temple during the past week, according to temple authorities. Puri police have made a three layer security arrangements to facilitate devotees visiting the temple. The police have also set up a special centre to take feedback from the devotees. The temple was closed for the public on 24 April after a rise in Covid-19 cases due to second wave of the pandemic.
