Himachal Pradesh witnesses 3,000 road accidents on average each year: Survey

The picturesque state of Himachal Pradesh witnesses 3,000 average road accidents each year killing over 1,000 and leaving over 5,000 injured, as per a Social Welfare Council of India report. The accidents could be attributed to a number of factors ranging from overcrowded buses, bad roads, over speeding, among others.
