Electric vehicles to evolve environment-friendly transport system

Of late, the Niti Ayog has been emphasizing on the need to introduce electric vehicles as part of the exercise to evolve environment-friendly transport system. The Ayog has proposed the elimination of fossil fuel driven auto-rikshaws, by the year 2023. In place of fossil fuel driven two-wheelers it seeks to introduce electric two-wheelers by 2025. It is proposed to usher-in electric vehicles 100 percent by the year 2030.
