Coronavirus: Sand artist creates sculpture promoting hygienic practices

Puri (Odisha): In the wake of the global outbreak of 'pandemic' coronavirus, Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik on Thursday created a sand sculpture at Puri beach in a bid to encourage people to wash their hands and maintain personal hygiene to cap the spread COVID-19. The deadly virus has, so far, infected at least 1,18,000 people and has taken 4,291 lives across the globe, including one death and 79 cases of infection reported from India, as per the World Health Organisation.
