A burnt body of a woman was recovered from an open field in Kumarganj area of South Dinajpur District in West Bengal on Monday. Police suspect that the woman might have been raped and then set on fire.

West Bengal: In a horrific rerun of the Hyderabad veterinary doctor's murder, a woman's charred remains were found in Kumarganj area of South Dinajpur District in West Bengal on Monday.

The body was recovered from an open field which is said to be nearly 90 per cent burnt.

According to information, the woman might have been raped and then set on fire.

The police have recovered the body and sent it for an autopsy.
