Kolkata: Executive Council (EC) of the Visva Bharati University on August 30 expelled Vice-chancellor SabujKali Sen, former registrar Saugata Chattopadhyay and former finance officer Samit Ray on charges of tampering the recording of resolution in the minute book during an EC meeting.

However, SabujKali Sen claimed that she has done nothing against the university’s rule.

She added, "This has been done out of complete revenge. Not a single allegation brought against me is true. Allegations of financial corruption are also false. The then Ministry of Human Resource Development, now known as the Union Ministry of Education extended my tenure by letter. I was again given a letter from the Ministry of Law and Justice after being informed that my term was coming to an end. It is clear that I will remain in charge until the permanent vice-chancellor arrives."
