Kolkata(West Bengal): Describing the present situation as 'not fine', West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee addressing a gathering after the prayer of Eid-ul-Fitr at Red Road in central Kolkata on Tuesday said that the divisive politics is trying to divide the country.
"We need to stay united and maintain peace and harmony in the country," the chief minister added.
Addressing a gathering of nearly 1500 people from make-shift at stage at Red Road, Banerjee after extending Eid greetings to everyone said 'I will not bow down my head'. "Hinting at BJP, the chief minister said, "There are some people who are trying to create communal tensions. They are trying to escalate the tension among the people. We will not allow these communal forces to become successful," she added.
