Kolkata: With Modi government 2.0 completing 100 days at the Centre, the opposition criticised the government about the current financial situation in the country. Whereas, 17 Union ministers will reach out to the people and make them aware of the historic decisions made in the short period.
In an interview with ETV Bharat, Ex-Army officer Brigadier Prabir Sanyal commented on the major work done by the Modi 2.0 in these 100 days.
When asked about the modification of Article 370, Brigadier (Retd) Prabir Sanyal said, "In the early 1990's I was commanding infantry battalion in Kupwara sector. Which was one of the most disturbed areas and there I have seen bad days also. The families of the terrorists who were killed during counter-insurgency operations by the security forces were given compensation from the Kashmir's political parties. After seeing this I urged one of my senior officers that our biggest enemy is Article 370 and 35A. If it will be removed then this problem will solve."
"Now, we can see that it's been 40 days since the Article 370 modified but there is no incident of local violence reported by any news organisation after that. This step should have been taken in 1957." he said.
Brigadier Prabir Sanyal slammed Congress over Abolition of Article 370 and said that in 1957, Congress was in support to amende the article but now when this government has done this then why congress is not supporting this decision.
Speaking over recent NRC, Ex-army officer said that many Bangladeshi have come to our country most of them are in Assam and Bengal which is effecting a voting system of the states. Somehow they all have voter cards and Adhar cards.
"Many of them are working for ISI and other terror outfits. There is a Bangladeshi mafia in Mumbai and Meerut where local people are scared of them. The Rohingya have also come to our country." added Sanyal.
"If they will be not identified then they can carry out terrorist activity in India. Still, there is some disagreement between the political parties on this issue. But, for one now, it is important to take the voting power after identifying them soon. Especially, in West Bengal." He showed his concern.
He said that all political parties should unite in such issues then only we can solve it but here in our country opposition behaves like rival countries.
"West Bengal government is doing vote bank politics as they are not taking any steps to expel the Bangladeshi. Seditious activity is going on in West Bengal. The Bangladeshi's were provided with the ration card, Aadhaar card So that they can support any political party.
Talking about the steps taken by the Modi 2.0 for security forces Ex-Army officer Brigadier Prabir Sanyal, "I must say that modernisation is speeding in this sector but there are many things which are yet to do for defence. The arms and ammunition still to be upgraded. The dilemma goes on. However, we are not worried about Pakistan.
