Murshidabad (WB): At least six people were killed and 12 others injured after a private passenger bus collided with an oil tanker on National Highway 34 in Murshidabad's Farakka early on Saturday morning.
Upon receiving information, the Farakka police rushed to the accident spot and commenced rescue operations with the help of locals.
Police suspect dense fog was the reason behind the mishap.
According to sources, the bus was travelling from Siliguri to Berhampore, while the tanker was travelling to Assam from Kolkata.
