Uttarakhand: Rajouri encounter martyr Ruchin body reaches his village

The last rites will be performed with military honours to the mortal remains of Ruchin Singh Rawat at his native village, Kunigad, in Uttarakhand. The jawan was martyred in an encounter with terrorists in the Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

Gairsain (Uttarakhand) : The mortal remains of Ruchin Singh Rawat, who was martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, has reached his native village, Kunigad. As soon as the dead body of the martyr reached his house, the wife, parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters of the martyr started wailing and hugging his dead body. During this, the whole family members and relatives became inconsolable.

The local people paid tributes to the martyr with moist eyes. MLA Anil Nautiyal also reached the house of martyr Ruchin. Where he paid homage to the martyr and tried to console the family. While the people of the village are feeling proud of the bravery of Ruchin Singh Rawat, everyone is feeling sad due to his martyrdom. Martyr Ruchin Singh Rawat is survived by his father Rajendra Singh Rawat, wife Kalpana, sister Geeta, grandfather Kalam Singh, and grandmother Malti Devi.

Family members made arrangements to perform the last rites to the mortal remains of martyr Rawat at their ancestral ghat. His funeral rites will be given full military honours. Significantly, 29-year-old Ruchin Rawat was posted in 9 Para Commandos in Udhampur, Jammu. During the latest encounter with terrorists in Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, Ruchin Rawat was killed in an IED blast. Martyr Ruchin Singh Rawat's family consists of elderly parents, a wife and their four-year-old child.

Tempers ran high across the country as the Rajouri encounter killings of Indian Jawans took place at a time when Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto came to the country on a visit. AAP convener and Delhi CM Kejriwal slammed the Central Government for giving a warm welcome to the Pakistan Minister while the country's jawans were becoming martyrs to the bullets of terrorists.
