Dehradun: Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan breathed his last on Wednesday in Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where he was being under treatment for a colon infection. He was 54.
Despite his status as one of Bollywood’s most celebrated actors, Khan had a reputation for modesty and integrity.
Khan also loved to spend time in Uttarakhand's Rishikesh and had a great affinity for Ganga ghat.
While shooting for Qarib Qarib Single, which is scheduled to release later this year, Irrfan apparently took out time to see several places in the city and throughly enjoyed spending time at the Ganga ghat.
The locals say that Khan, along with some crew members, went around town with to see some of the hangouts and unconventional locations to see the city in its best light.
It is to be noted that Khan was born Saahabzaade Irfan Ali Khan in Jaipur in 1966, the son of a tyre seller, and went to drama school after failing as a cricketer.
