He also accused the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and BJP of gross irregularities in raising funds in the name of temple construction under the guise of Ram Mandir Trust.

After struggling for so many years, when the way for the construction of the Ram temple was cleared after the order of the Supreme Court, many of the big religious leaders of the country hoped that they too would have a place in the trust. Astrologer Sarada Peethadheeshwar Shankaracharya Swaroopanand Saraswati was also in this hope. But when the central government did not give membership to them in trust, he again stood against the central government.

In a sharp attack on the government, he said that all those parties who fought for Ram temple for 500 years, braved lawsuits and bullets, the central government completely cut off the parties and formed a trust to build the temple.

He alleged that the BJP and the Sangh people who used the Ram temple for power have been seated in the trust, bypassing the real parties. He said that in the new trust, along with the four Shankaracharyas, representatives of saints and akharas of all creeds should be included.

Swami Avimukteshwaranand has also accused the BJP and the Sangh of raising funds in the guise of the construction of the Ram temple. He said that the trust has a shortage of its workers across the country and behind the scenes, people of BJP and Sangh are raising commission in the name of temple construction across the country.

He also raised serious questions on raising funds from door-to-door campaign for temple construction and said till date, no money has been demanded from the people for any religious or public work by going to each and every house in this way.

He also raised the question that what is the reason that money is not coming in the bank account number issued by the Ram Mandir Trust for donations.
