Haridwar (Uttarakhand): In view of the alarming surge of coronavirus cases in the country, several states have made it mandatory for people travelling by air to carry a negative RT-PCR test report.
Interestingly, a couple from Uttarakhand, who is set to enter wedlock soon, has urged guests to attend the marriage ceremony with a COVID negative report.
The couple has made a clear mention of this condition on the invitation cards. Their decision has now become the talk of the town.
According to sources, the groom Vijay hails from Haridwar whereas the bride Vaishali is from Jaipur in Rajasthan. The marriage ceremony will be carried out following all coronavirus safety measures.

"Please come to the wedding only with your COVID-19 RT-PCR negative report," Vijay's wedding invitation card reads.
"Before distributing the cards, we knew that the state and the Central governments were going to issue new guidelines on marriage ceremonies. We want to proceed with the ceremony adhering to all guidelines," Vijay said.
