Haridwar: In a bid to dedicate National Girl Child day for girls of the state, Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat decided that Haridwar's Srishti Goswami will take charge as the chief minister of Uttarakhand for one day on Sunday.
The one-day chief minister will administer from Bal Vidhan Sabha of the Assembly and will review various schemes run by the state government. Goswami will review the works as child chief minister, in the assembly from 12 noon to 3 pm.
Before she takes over the CM office, officials of various departments under the Uttarakhand government will give a five-minute presentation each on their plans. To ensure that all the top officials are present in the program, the Uttarakhand Child Rights Protection Commission has written a letter to the Chief Secretary.
The 18-years-old Goswami is a resident of Daulatpur village where her father runs a small shop in the village and her mother is a housewife.
Speaking to media persons about the opportunity to become the one-day Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Goswami said she was so overwhelmed and will do her best to prove that youth can in administration while working for people's welfare.
Meanwhile, Shristi's father said that he is feeling very proud that his daughter is going to achieve such a position which is going to write a new chapter in Indian politics.
He also thanked Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat for making his daughter one day Chief Minister.
In the past, Goswami had participated in many programs on International Girl Child Day. In May 2018, she became the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Bal Vidhan Sabha.
