Women thrashed on suspicion of child theft in UP

In a tragic incident, a mob in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad allegedly beaten two women suspecting them to a child lifter. The police have taken a few people in the custody and also deployed forces in the area.

Ghaziabad: Two women were allegedly beaten by a mob at the Loni area in Ghaziabad over the suspicion of a child left.

According to reports, the mob also pelted stones at police and damaged their vehicles when they tried to save women.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Iraz Raja, Superintendent of Police (Rural), said that the police are investigating the matter and accused persons will be brought to the book.

Meanwhile, the police have taken a few people in the custody and also deployed forces in the area.
