Kushinagar: A bird tagged with number 'C 3' and attached with Global Positioning System (GPS) was spotted by villagers in Barwapatti area of the district here.
The people caught the suspicious bird and informed the police and the forest officials.
Forest officials have taken the bird in their control while the police is investigating the case, official sources said.
The suspicious bird has been kept in the local forest office at Saragtiya even as the probe is on, they added.
