Kanpur: After the arrest of Shashikant Pandey--an aide of notorious criminal Vikas Dubey on Tuesday, another purported audio of Pandey's wife has gone viral on social media in which she is allegedly heard requesting someone to delete her number from phone.
The audio clip containing a purported conversation between Shashikant Pandey’s wife, Manu Pandey and a man relative has gone viral.
In that conversation, Manu is heard asking him to delete her number from the call list first and then remove other numbers as well as that of her husband Sonu (Shashikant Pandey). “Keep the phone, don’t switch it off,” Manu tells him.
She was further advised to "delete all numbers and remove its battery" and tell police that they "don't know anything and sit inside".
"Listen... Kallu has been arrested. After this call, I will damage both my phone and sim. I can't contact you further but I am worried for him," the recorded call heard.
It appears that the call was made immediately after the arrest of Shashikant Pandey on Tuesday.
Another audio clip before this, containing a purported conversation between Shashikant Pandey’s wife and a woman relative has gone viral. In the clip, Pandey’s wife Manu is heard seeking advice from a woman relative and telling her about the killing of the policemen by “Vikas bhaiyya” and others. The woman is also heard asking suggestions on what to do when the police would come to inquire.
Reportedly, a day after the ambush, police searched Vikas Dubey’s house and claimed to have recovered six country-made pistols, cartridges, two kg explosives, 15 live crude bombs and a large amount of iron nails. Following the search operation, an aide of gangster Vikas Dubey, Shashikant, alias Sonu Pandey, was arrested and two rifles--AK-47 and Insas-- of the Uttar Pradesh Police, looted during the Kanpur ambush, were recovered with cartridges.
