Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking incident of medical apathy at Community Health Centre Unchahar in Rae Bareli, a patient was being given first-aid by a sweeper instead of the doctors present there.
In fact, the hospital staff present on the occasion were ignoring their duty.
According to sources, hundreds of rural patients visit the Community health centre for treatment every day. Despite this, the doctors posted here are reckless with their duties.
According to sources, the doctors keep sitting in their respective cabins while the sweepers in the hospital treat the patients.
When a patient named Bablu visited the health centre on Thursday, a sweeper named Shivsharan aided his wounds.
Upon being asked about the absence of doctors there, the sweeper said, "He has to treat patients on a regular basis, as the doctors mostly do not come to treat them."
When Medical Superitendent of the Health Centre, RB Yadav was asked about the incident, he was infuriated and refused to give any statement on the issue.
