Ghaziabad: The Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad police have claimed to have busted a gambling den in Khoda here on Wednesday with the help of the drone.
Police have also arrested as many as eight accused persons in this connection.
According to sources, the gambling den, that was raided after video footage of the illegal activities and gamblers were captured using a drone, was located on the outskirts and in isolation.
Acting on a tip-off, with the help of the drone, police carried out the raid in the area and later busted the gambling hub.
Last month, police around the country have raided multiple mobile casinos with the help of unmanned aerial devices to prevent the activity from 'corrupting the spiritual civilisation of society'.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the accused persons under relevant sections of IPC and forwarded to court, sources said.
Earlier, some people who violated Section 144 were also caught with the help of drone cameras from Ghaziabad area.
