Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh): Unknown miscreants allegedly fired upon the house of a local BJP leader and former district panchayat member Lalit Kumar in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad on Saturday.
Kumar has alleged that he is aware of who the miscreants are and that they had earlier threatened him of dire consequences if he did not pay the extortion money. However, he refused to entertain their demand. He said he has filed a report with the police regarding the incident. Three rounds of bullets were fired at Kumar's residence.
The BJP leader was en route to Lucknow at the time of the incident. His family members, who were present in the house, escaped unhurt.
