Prayagraj: A special cell of the Delhi Police has pasted a notice on the locked house of Guddu Muslim, the “bomb specialist” absconding in the Umesh Pal murder case, in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj, sources said on Monday. It is learnt that the locals saw the notice pasted on the ancestral house of Guddu Muslim located in Saraiya Swaraj Nagar of Prayagraj early this morning.
The notice was pasted by the Delhi Police on Sunday evening under section 41 of the Cr Pc. Guddu is evading arrest in the Umesh Pal murder case of Feb. 24 this year. Umesh was the key witness of the 2005 murder of BSP MLA Raju Pal. Guddu's role in the Umesh Pal murder case surfaced after a video showed him purportedly lobbing a grenade on Umesh Pal.
Following the murder, police announced Rs 5 lakh bounty on his head. Guddu is accused of haviung ordered weapons from Delhi to kill Umesh Pal. The police claim was made on the alleged disclosure by a smuggler caught by the Delhi Police in the case. On the basis of the statement from the illegal arms smuggler arrested by the Delhi Police, a warrant was issued against Guddu Muslim along with Asad and another Kalia under Section 41 of the Arms Act.

Asad was killed in an encounter by the UP STF, while Kalia is also in the custody of the UP Police. However, no trace of Guddu Muslim has been found by the police. Meanwhile, Guddu Muslim's sister Nasreen Bano, who lives a short distance from Guddu Muslim's house said that they have not learnt about Guddu for years.
Nasreen said that Guddu had been beaten by father at the age of 13, who also evicted him out of the house for his repeated mischiefs. Nasreen said that Guddu was fond of watching movies. Nasreen said that no member of her family has ever met slain gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed or his family. Guddu is said to have worked for Atiq, who was the main accused in the Umesh Pal murder case.
Atiq and his brother Ashraf were shot dead by three men on Apr. 15 while they were being taken for a medical check-up in Prayagraj.
