Three dead, 7 injured as truck overturns in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur

At least three people died while seven others suffered injuries after a speeding truck turned turtle Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh at around 3 pm on Wednesday. The injured ones were admitted to a nearby hospital.

Chhatarpur: Three persons died while seven others suffered injuries after a speeding truck loaded with goods and ten people overturned in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place around 3 pm on Wednesday, when a speeding truck carrying wheat sacks was heading towards Andhra Pradesh via Uttar Pradesh's Ghatampur, lost control and turned turtle on NH-34 highway of the district.

On receiving information about the incident, Shahgarh police station incharge Ravindra Bagri, Hirapur police outpost incharge Kavita Dubey reached the spot and admitted the injured ones to a nearby community health centre (CHC) for medical treatment.

Later, five of the injured were transferred to district hospital as their condition was stated to be critical.

Block Medical Officer(BMO) Amit Anand Asati," The critically injured ones were first treated at CHC and then referred to the district hospital, while the two of the injured who suffered minor injuries are undergoing treatment at CHC, Shahgarh."

As per reports, the bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem.

Earlier on May 16, six migrant workers, including four women and two men, died after the truck they were travelling in overturned near Banda town in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh.
