Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh): The Allahabad High Court on Friday expressed its displeasure against the UP Police for having disobeyed its orders, to present the charge sheet and case diary filed against the Tablighi Jamaatis and summoned the SPs of three districts - Hapur, Shahjahanpur and Mau, for the next hearing to be held on July 15. The court has also sought an explanation from the three police officers as to why the order was not complied with, as a copy of the charge sheet and the case diary was to be handed over to the petitioner's counsel.

Justice Ajay Bhanot gave this order while hearing two other petitions including Daha Dasai of Thailand and 12 others. Meaanwhile, the advocate appearing on behalf of the Tablighi Jamaatis said that the latter's passports have been deposited and that their Visa period has also expired. Adding to their woes, they are also suffering from starvation due to delays in hearing and have run out of money. It is known that the Jamaatis have been detained by the police fearing Covid spread.
